One may wonder how I came to have such a heart & burden for the Jewish people & a desire to be in the Holy Land known as Israel. By the grace of God I got saved in March of 1995 in York, Pennsylvania (USA). By way of God’s grace & Spirit in me, I was quick to want to preach Messiah Jesus to my loved ones & close friends in school. I received Jesus the Messiah/Son of God just before my 15th birthday as a freshman in high school. It was not long after the one true God, the Holy One of Israel, saved me that He started really putting the Jewish people on my heart. I’m talking in & around 1999. This desire to get married to a Jewish believer in Jesus just sprang up in me. If one had asked me why back in the day such a desire was in me, it was nothing that I could have explained other than to just say in so many words, “It’s a God thing!” I even went in or around the year 2000 to N. Carolina to get some training on evangelizing the Jewish people with this one group in ministry.   Romans 10:1-4 “BRETHREN, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”   After I graduated from a Bible College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in December of 2002, I moved in early 2003 to New York City & lived in that borough known as Staten Island. What was one big factor the LORD used to put it upon my heart to relocate to New York City you wonder? It was the high population of Jewish souls there compared to where I grew up in Pennsylvania. I then actually moved back to Pennsylvania in December of 2004.  As 2005 started, it was not long after that I found myself driving to different malls on my days off from work to witness & preach to souls the gospel of Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Among those souls I’d see at the malls on a regular/weekly basis & witness to were these Jewish Israelis who were selling (among other things) their Dead Sea skin care products throughout the year. It was about this time in 2005 that all of a sudden a desire to actually want to relocate to Israel began to spring up in me. My first trip to Israel for the LORD occurred in 2006. Since then I had been in & out of the Holy Land so many times as the Holy One enabled me that I stopped counting! Then I had made all the more a discovery in 2009 as the Holy One would have it to be a discovery made. Out of curiosity, I just went to the Tel Aviv University’s Diaspora section. Out of curiosity, I was led (of the LORD I believe) to put in both my mother’s maiden name (LIVINGSTON) as well as the name I inherited from my father (GRUVER).  All of a sudden, I see on the computer all these “trees” that start popping up. I found out that the “Livingston” once went by “Levinstein” and the “Gruver” once went by “Gruber” and both are Jewish (Ashkenazi) names. I realized my own Jewish ancestry that day, to the praise & glory of the Holy One of Israel & His Holy One! The hand of the Holy One of Israel as it pertains to the heart He had given me for our Jewish people & being here in the Holy Land was becoming all the more obvious indeed. There are these verses of scripture in Philippians that sums up very well the whole process of things as it relates to me being born again & God’s calling me with a heart for the Jewish people & being here in the Holy Land.   Philippians 2:12-13 “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”   Consider the facts. As a saved, born again, child of the living God, I had both the desire to get married to a Jewish believer in Jesus the Messiah & Son of God, as well as the desire to relocate to & live in Israel before I even came to the complete & full realization of my own Jewish ancestry on both sides of my family. Please consider once again what is written in Philippians 2:12-13, as just referred to. Then there is my “Jerusalem experience”!   Psalm 126:1 “WHEN the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.”   Psalm 126:5-6 “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”   This is where the LORD gave me the name for my ministry page here devoted to His work in and through me “Sow The Seed”. The Holy One of Israel, using this young Jewish lady Orli (whose name means, “I have a light”!) actually had me weeping in the middle of my sleep one night in 2012 over not just Orli, but all of the Jewish people! I was actually sleeping that night on the roof of this one hostel in Old Jerusalem, not too far from the Temple Mount area where our Messiah & Saviour of all men was crucified for the sins of the world & arose from the dead the third day. There is hardly a day that goes by where I do not take the tears that was wept that night over Orli & the Jewish people & before the LORD & the great sacrifice of His only begotten Son & Messiah, & plead those promises in Psalm 126 & trust & know the Lord will be faithful to work according to His will. I would encourage you to plead the tears, the sacrifice of Messiah Jesus, & the promise of God’s Word with me! Meanwhile, in faith you can also start rejoicing with me as we give thanks knowing the LORD will be faithful to do the work!   John 6:28-29 “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”   As you will be able to see in the video recordings of me posted here throughout this page, by way of God’s grace & Spirit I’m determined to lift up my voice on behalf of the Holy One of Israel & His Holy One. I had major brain surgery performed on me back in 2008 due to a benign tumor in the left frontal lobe of my brain.  The surgeon & his assistants at John Hopkins in Baltimore Maryland had to go into my brain a 2nd time after the removal to take care of an infection that had built up in my brain & had me in the process of becoming a “vegetable” as some would call such an one who is not able to communicate to others or understand a word that is said to them. Thankfully as surely as I came away from them going in a second time & working to take care of that infection, as determined as I was to use my voice for the truth of the Holy One & His Holy One before that surgery, I was & am still all the more determined to use my voice now for Him as the way, the truth, and the life!   John 14:5-6 “Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not wither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”   Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”   Revelation 20:14-15 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”   Romans 10:9-13 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”   As surely as the LORD takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, & as surely as the LORD works to will & do in you of His good pleasure, there is room in Christ Jesus for you. As it is given you from heaven, if you have not already done so to the saving of your soul, please call out to the Holy One of Israel & His Holy One, Jesus the Son of God & Messiah of Israel, today! Currently, my ministry is a faith based ministry in which I trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to provide my every need. Isaiah 40:29-31 “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”   When it comes to the work that the LORD would accomplish through me here & among the people, as much as I’m a firm believer in giving out the printed Word of God in free copies and also what are known as “gospel tracts”, God alone knows how many I have distributed myself in the way of gospel literature & copies of scripture. Quite frankly, I was never really led by the Lord to keep count.  I will say that it was nothing for me to have 1,000 copies of any given gospel tract(s) at my hands of distribution as the LORD saw fit to provide such in his own way. Ultimately, the Lord has put within me the heart of an evangelist.   2nd Timothy 2:1 “THOU therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”   The Lord has had me lift up my voice for Him on numerous occasions, as you may again witness in the one video that was from such a time and experience in Jerusalem evangelizing with these two other brothers in Christ, Tim Berends & Mike Cahill.  Mr. Berends himself was going off preaching for Messiah Jesus even as we were on the Israeli train for transportation to, throughout & from the city!   2nd Timothy 2:2-3 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”   Of course, in the course of my reaching out to the people in Israel (Jew & Gentile alike). Again, I got saved from the wages and power of sin in March of 1995. As much as the LORD has taught me when it comes to living by faith & what it means to live by faith, as much as the Lord has taught me in other parts of the world, at no place has He taught me more about what it truly means to live by faith than here in Israel & during my time here.  It is here in Israel that the LORD ultimately gave me victory & had me claim victory & healing over a neurological disorder known as Epilepsy. It is officially three (3) years now that I have not been taking my pharmaceuticals and have been just fine.  All is well! My neurologist at John Hopkins, as we spoke concerning my brain surgery that took place in June of 2008, he himself said there was an 80% chance that once the brain tumor had been removed from the left frontal lobe area where it was that the Epilepsy would be gone.  It was a battle, but the LORD gave me victory & healing. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! There is a soup kitchen ministry that takes place each week in the Tel Aviv area that I’ve helped & served at. In one of the pictures from this soup kitchen you can see me standing with this sister in the Lord by the name of Monica. In one of the videos from the soup kitchen you will witness me introducing this other sister in the Lord & believer in Messiah Jesus by the name of Sarah. I’m about seeing Messiah Jesus have the preeminence in all things, & that includes soup kitchen ministries.   Colossians 1:17-18 “And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”   Jeremiah 3:14-15 “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”   The LORD in His own way, no doubt I believe, spoke to me in His own unique and blessed way from these verses of scripture in Jeremiah chapter 3. I’ve told people that I’m not a pastor yet, but depending on how much time we still do have left before Messiah Jesus returns, I could see Him using me in such a manner should He see fit. This much I know- Such a position as elder/pastor is not to be taken on lightly & is a very serious thing before the most high God of heaven & earth. Ultimately, I want to be taught by the living God & His Spirit in light of His Word. However the Lord sees fit to use men in that process is His choosing. As long as someone has no problem with me being a Berean and testing the spirits.   1st John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”   I’ve no problem hearing & being all the more led in the way of light by way of the LORD using other souls to do so as He pleases.   Acts 13:37-39 “But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”   I’ve developed over the course of my days here quite a number of connections of individuals that I can still maintain connections with via the phone &/or email. I consider myself to be a people person. No doubt the Creator himself took on the form of a servant as Messiah & showed Himself to be a people person in His mercy & amazing grace!   Philippians 1:19-21 “For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. Luke 11:9-10 “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”   When it comes to praise & prayer requests, let me start off first thanking & praising the LORD of lords & King of kings for saving my soul from my sins & all the death, hell, & the lake of fire that goes with sin. I also want to thank & praise the Holy One for leading me & enabling me to once again return to the Land here for His cause & His glory. I also praise & thank Him once more for the victory and healing He has given me over not just the Epilepsy, but also for the victory & healing He gave me over what we have every reason to believe were PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) attacks as well as I was called upon to bear those crosses for a season to keep me humble & dependent upon the Holy One of Israel as my strength & refuge! I thank & praise Jehovah my God for your prayers & His answering of our prayers.   Even as the cross of Epilepsy & the cross of the PTSD attacks were taken away, another cross has taken its place. I’d ask for your prayers please in regards to strength & help in bearing that cross for the cause of the Holy One & His Son, His Holy One.   Please pray also for the LORD to please bless me with my help meet/wife that I have been waiting for Him to bless me with for quite some time now. I know God’s plan & timing are always perfect & makes all things beautiful in His time!   Pray also for the extra finances to come in for the Lord’s cause here as needed & the roof over my soul & place where I’m staying. I really would appreciate any financial help & assistance you’d be able to contribute at this time. I do have the desire to work & make money while here in Israel, but I must be able to do it legally & with a clean conscience. If only getting the work permit/visa was not so complicated, safe to say I’d not have a problem finding work. As surely as my Lord & my God gave me a servant’s heart when he saved me from myself & my sins, I truly do believe in serving others (as I serve the Holy One!) in any way that I can. I actually did once deliver mail for the IRS at the federal building in N. Y. C. . I was at that time making just over $20 an hour. However, our manager at that place was so crooked & corrupt, she would be defrauding our employer at that job & all the while thinking what she was doing was alright. She basically had us operating in such a way that if she got caught, we’d all be caught and in trouble! I had to report her to her boss & walk away from that job. Again, it is more important to maintain a clean conscience before the Holy One of Israel & man. Pray that I not only get to work here in the Holy Land legally, but that I also get someone to work for who is much more honest & less corrupt in his/her dealings with their fellow man.   It was after the LORD had me walk away from that job that I came to Israel and really began to focus on getting the Hebrew language mastered. I’m still working on it to this day. What can I say? The longer I stay here, the better my Hebrew gets! Praise God. Please continue to pray that I’d master the Hebrew language for the Lord in these latter days as we wait & watch for His glorious return.   I will now give you the names of a number of individuals who come to mind that I have dealt & am dealing with who are still in need of salvation: Jordan: An Israeli Jew who believes in Jesus she says, but her “jesus” is obviously a very New Age “jesus” & false christ. She has told me there is no God in Israel. She told me that man is God & God is man! I reminded her about Emmanuel- God with us in a human body in the person of Messiah Jesus. Jordan & I still have connections on the phone via WhatsApp. Anna: Another Israeli Jew that I also still have connections with on WhatsApp. Ken Davis: an Israeli Jew that has been living here for I believe he said 18 years. He says he is very much into Kabbalah, but that he is also into Jesus. Lord willing, as Ken & I have WhatsApp connections, we’ll hopefully be meeting soon at a cafe here in Tel Aviv to talk more. Arina: (Ar-ee-na) Arina is a Jewish soul who worked at this hostel that I was staying at. I sowed the seed for Jesus a number of times with her. She also is the one who found her fellow employee & our friend (Yavganey) laying dead on the floor of his room after a drone-terrorist strike not long ago hit the hostel where we were staying. Pray for Yavganey’s family as well and that the Lord would use his tragic passing on into eternity to deal with & all the more save his family & friends that are still alive this side of eternity. The Lord did have me sow the seed with Yavganey. I can’t say that anything was said to me by him or any coming to the truth on his part before he went into eternity. Sophia: a young Israeli lady who was really having personal issues with her mother when we first met. Max: a Russian Jew I’m friends with who is currently back in the USA & speak with usually on a weekly basis. Hazel: a Turkish American (Muslim) & her husband (Lamin). I just met Hazel recently at this one believer’s birthday party.   Pray the LORD prepares hearts (Jew & Gentile) as we get closer to the fulfillment of the war spoken of in Psalm 83 and the book of Obadiah. It’ll be the God of Israel’s judgment upon Islam & its false god of that false prophet they call Muhammad, before that ultimate great white throne judgment.   I’d also just encourage you to pray for the body of Christ Jesus here in Israel & throughout the world.   Pray for divine appointments daily in each of our lives as believers in Messiah Jesus, the God of Israel. Pray also that we as believers in the one true God would abound in love for Him & holiness, all the while also abounding in Charity one for another.   Pray for the soup kitchen ministry to continue to bear much fruit for the Lord & His kingdom.   Pray please for the Lord to also continue ministering to the salvation & spiritual prospering of my own flesh & blood relatives back in the USA.   Luke 11:11-13 “If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”   I just now want to thank you one more time for your prayers & all manner of support as the Spirit leads. I’d also remind you to plead those tears & that promise of Psalm 126:5-6. It’s all about the Holy One of Israel & sowing the seed for Him & His Holy One, Messiah Jesus/Yeshua! Finally, in prayer, please agree with me according to the Word of God as He spoke in the flesh, being manifested as the very great I AM of Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob (Israel).
